I am a writer, historian and teacher living in Bermondsey, London.
Born in Munich, Germany, I am bilingual in English and German, and I also speak Portuguese after six years spent living in Brazil.
I completed my Ph.D. in English Language and Literature at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Florianópolis, Brazil, in 2016. I am an expert in Shakespeare and Renaissance Drama, and in particular the London contexts of Shakespeare’s works.
I am the founder of Mirandola Media Ltd., a publishing start-up which aims to house a portfolio of high-quality titles in print and digital formats. The company looks to become a reference point for original, erudite, and thought-provoking print and digital content across various subjects. Mirandola's first publication is a themed journal on world football entitled Engrossed in Football. See more at eifmagazine.com and @eifmagazine on social media.
I have worked as a teacher of English and German as foreign languages for many years, both as a private tutor and in the classroom. I am a patient and empathetic teacher, a strong linguist and a good communicator. I enjoy teaching grammatical concepts in German and English as part of a balanced approach to language learning, and I have helped many students prepare for exams and interviews across various disciplines.
I also offer guided historical walks in London. My walking tour entitled “Discover Shakespeare’s London” offers guests the chance to deepen their understanding of Shakespeare’s life, his works, and the world around him at the start of the seventeenth century. The walk includes some of London’s most famous landmarks, but also takes in hidden alleyways and historical details that are hard to find without expert guidance.
